When it comes to adopting dogs, some things are the same regardless of Fido’s age. You’ll need to get your pooch some doggy basics like grooming supplies, a crate, a leash and collar, and waste baggies. That said, when shopping for a senior dog, keep your canine buddy’s age in mind. For instance, orthopedic beds are great for older pets. You may want to get one with a washable, waterproof cover, in case your furry buddy has accidents. Raised dishes, soft toys, and pet ramps or stairs may also help keep your new pup comfy.
