Important Information on COVID-19

March 27, 2020
It’s been a long journey over the past year and the Marriottsville Animal Hospital Team can’t thank  everyone enough for their patience and cooperation.   We aware that COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the CDC and State of MD/Governor Hogan have  changed, and we are beginning the gradual transition back to normal operations. We would like to  update you on our revised COVID-19 curbside appointment protocol, effective Monday, May 24, 2021:  All appointments are to be scheduled. We will not be seeing walk-in appointments at this time.   If elected, one individual may accompany the pet into the building for their appointment. That person  must be an adult over the age of 18 and be the responsible party for making treatment and payment  decisions for the pet.   At the time of your appointment, please call from the parking lot when you arrive to let us know you’re  here. A staff member will come to your vehicle and escort you and your pet to the exam room if you  elect. You may choose to remain in your vehicle during the appointment as per the current curbside  protocol if you prefer.   Anyone entering the building must wear a face covering, and our staff will continue to wear face  coverings as well.   If a pet is to require further diagnostic evaluation, in order to keep traffic within the hospital flowing, we  may encourage drop off or will ask you to return to your vehicle to await results.   If your appointment does not require examination by the doctor i.e. nail trim, anal gland expression,  laser therapy, etc., we will continue to have you wait in your vehicle.   We will continue to handle pharmacy requests and payment over the phone, and medication pickups  will be by appointment. Please call when you arrive to pick up your pet’s medication and we will bring it  out to you.  Again, we thank you for your continued patience and understanding during this transition. As always we  strive to provide the highest quality of care for your pets while maintaining optimum safety for our clients and staff.
