8 Reasons To Adopt A Rescued Bunny

February is Adopt A Rescued Rabbit Month! Bunnies are of course super cute, and they have some very loyal fans. Unfortunately, many rabbits are in dire need of loving homes. If you’ve been considering adopting a bunny, this is a great time to do so! Read on as an Ellicott City, MD vet lists some great reasons to consider adopting a rescued bunny.

They’re Quiet

Bunnies don’t make much noise. This makes them a great choice for people in apartments. You won’t be fielding calls from upset neighbors in the middle of the night! Of course, you’ll need to make sure that rabbits are allowed in your building.

They Don’t Need Walks

If you have a yard, you may be able to let your pet enjoy some carefully supervised outdoor time. However, your bunny will be just fine staying indoors. You’ll never have to rush home to walk her!

They Can Be Litterbox Trained

Rabbits can be taught to use a litterbox. Training your bunny will take more time and patience than training a cat would, but it will be well worth it in the end.

Binkies!

If you don’t know what a binkie is, they are basically rabbit happy dances. Think of them as the bunny equivalent of cats purring or dogs wagging their tails. Needless to say, binkies are adorable, and are bound to put a smile on your face.

They Don’t Mind Small Spaces

No yard? No problem! As long as rabbits get plenty of time out of their cages, they don’t need much space.

They’re Super Cute

We probably don’t have to tell you this, but rabbits are absolutely adorable. Their sweet faces and velvety fur can really melt some hearts!

Bunny Personalities

Our animal companions all have their own personalities. Bunnies are no exception. Some are timid and shy, some are quite cuddly, and some are feisty and rambunctious. You may find that Floppy is the perfect pet!

Save A Life

Last but not least, when you adopt a rescued rabbit, you’re giving that one animal a second chance, and ensuring that there’s one less lonely, unloved bunny in the world. That’s a very rewarding feeling, and something you can really feel great about!
